Under the soft glow of evening lights and the electric buzz of anticipation, Rhodes Park School celebrated a historic milestone on February 14, 2025—the grand launch of the PTA Multi-Sports Courts. The occasion was marked by a spectacular cocktail night, attended by our Managing Director, Mr. Chisha Folotiya; PTA Chairperson, Mr. Oswell Siazilo; teachers, parents, and esteemed guest, the District Education Board Secretary, Mr. Ian Miyoba, a distinguished representative from the Ministry of Education.

The construction of the Multi-Sports Courts stands as a shining example of collaboration between Rhodes Park School, the PTA, and the Ministry of Education. As proud partners in this transformative project, the Ministry provided the land, while the school and PTA worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life. The result is a state-of-the-art facility designed to nurture athletic talent, foster teamwork, and promote a culture of health and fitness among our students.

The evening began with an elegant cocktail reception, where lively conversations and laughter set the tone for a night of celebration. The highlight of the event was the official ribbon-cutting ceremony—a symbolic moment of progress and community unity. As the ribbon fell, cheers erupted, marking the official opening of a facility that will serve generations of Rhodes Park students.

In his remarks, Mr. Ian Miyoba commended Rhodes Park School for its forward-thinking approach to enhancing sports infrastructure, emphasizing the critical role of physical education in holistic student development. Mr. Oswell Siazilo echoed these sentiments, praising the partnership between the school and the Ministry as a model of successful public-private collaboration in education.

Featuring top-tier courts for basketball, tennis, and other sports, this facility is set to revolutionize the sports culture at Rhodes Park School. It will provide students with a world-class environment to train, compete, and grow, both as athletes and individuals. As the evening drew to a close, there was a palpable sense of pride and purpose—this was not just a launch, but the beginning of a legacy that will inspire young athletes for years to come.

Here’s to countless victories, lifelong sportsmanship, and the unbreakable spirit of the Rhodes Park community. Together, we’ve built more than just courts; we’ve laid the foundation for a brighter future.
