We are thrilled to continue Rhodes Park School’s rich tradition of learning beyond the classroom with the classes 2023. Over 80 Grade Seven students are in Livingstone for our 27th tour of Livingstone and Victoria Falls Region since 1996!

Day 1 of their tour was packed with lots of learning and fun activities as the students visited the Railway Museum, Crocodile Farm and Victoria Falls. The Railway Museum was a great opportunity for our students to explore the fascinating history of Zambia’s Railway Heritage as they climbed aboard the old trains and carriages. At the same time, the Crocodile Farm allowed the students to get up close and personal with crocodiles, tortoises and a handful of poisonous snakes.

The highlight of the day was the mighty Victoria Falls. There was excited chatter and determination to get to the Boiling Pot as the students navigated through a sea of deep green forest, spotting a handful of baboons along the way. The students walked for 25 to 30 minutes before reaching the Boiling Pot. The experience of viewing Victoria Falls from below was incredible and worth the intense hike back up.

Once back up, our students continued down different trails and enjoyed viewing the spectacular wonder from different viewpoints. The students exited Victoria Falls 2 hours later, were thoroughly SOAKED, happy, and had made memories to last a lifetime.
