At the end of Grade Seven, learners sit for examinations in the core subjects. From Grade Five onwards, students are subject to School-Based Assessments (SBA), a model of continuous assessment whose achievement scores add to the final Grade Seven Examination. Much of the SBA is experiential learning, research, and hands-on project-based assignments.
