There was plenty to celebrate as Rhodes Park School learner Neriah Sitamulaho represented Zambia at the Africa Aquatics Zone IV Championships in Gaborone, Botswana, from 2–5 September 2026.
Selected as one of 30 young swimmers to represent Zambia, Neriah competed alongside some of the region’s talented young swimmers and helped her relay team secure a well-earned bronze medal.
The achievement is a wonderful reward for the hours of training and preparation that go into competing at this level. From the early mornings in the pool to the excitement of representing her country, Neriah embraced the experience and gave her best when it mattered.
For Neriah, the championships were also an opportunity to learn, compete at a higher level and gain valuable experience alongside swimmers from across the region. Her bronze medal is a proud moment, but so too is the experience of wearing the Zambian colours and representing her country on an international stage.
We are delighted to see Neriah’s hard work recognised and look forward to following her progress as she continues to develop as a swimmer.Congratulations, Neriah! We are proud of you and your achievement.
