Prefects Team Building Outing to Kuzipa Farm!

Rhodes Park Schools Prefects Board had an incredible team-building trip at Kuzipa Farm two weeks ago. The trip aimed to enhance our learners’ communication, leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, ultimately boosting the group’s overall effectiveness.

The Kuzipa outing commenced with the Prefects arriving at the campsite, where they received a detailed orientation on the rules and guidelines for the planned activities of the trip. The first activity was a friendly dance-off, which set a positive tone for the day and taught valuable lessons in adaptability, creativity, self-confidence, support, and encouragement.

Following the dance-off, the Prefects tackled an obstacle course under the guidance of Tehillah, the tour guide. The course included vertically lodged logs, a muddy puddle covered by barbed wire, a balance exercise, a tall tire fortress, and a series of tires, each designed to enhance qualities such as agility, resilience, focus, and problem-solving.

The final obstacle involved walking on a rope with suspended support ropes, challenging each individual to face their fears and trust their abilities. After completing the obstacle course, the Prefects took on the Pass the Water challenge. The water challenge aimed to foster effective communication, trust building, teamwork, and collaboration, problem-solving, and support and encouragement.

The last challenge was a mud pool beneath a sturdy rope suspended over a bamboo and rope base, testing their stamina and strength. Even though many of them ended up in the muddy puddle, they embraced the experience with laughter and lifted each other up, turning every fall into an opportunity for support and camaraderie.
